Edge Esmeralda Workshop 2025

The Edge Esmeralda Workshop 2025 was held during Edge Esmeralda 2025, Edge City's month-long popup village in Healdsburg, California (May 24 – June 21). Building on the collaboration established at Edge Esmeralda 2024, the workshop continued to develop the conversation between protocol research and experimental community infrastructure.

Now operating under the Protocol Institute's umbrella, the 2025 workshop brought evolved research perspectives into dialogue with Edge City's ongoing work on new institutional forms, community governance, and the design of social coordination mechanisms. Edge Esmeralda's model — a month-long prototype for a permanent new town — continued to offer a live laboratory for the ideas under discussion.
